When passion meets purpose, the result is often of great radiance.
I cannot remember when my passion for jewelry began; it has always just been there.
As a toddler, the best way to keep me still was by organizing the contents of a jewelry box near me. I used to then sit with the mobility of a statue, hypnotized by every glimmering piece.
As a child, I hated having to leave a candy store or the candy section of a supermarket, but being told that it was time to leave a jewelry store was a harder goodbye. Every twinkling piece seemed to carry a story of its own, a personality of its own, and a positive energy that made me lose all concept of time.
As a teenager, it was fascinating to hear people speak of a jewelry piece they were wearing and mention that it belonged to their grandparent or even their great grandparent at their age, yet the accessory would sparkle as if made yesterday. “Jewelry that can last,” I used to tell myself, “is like a forever young time traveler connecting us with eras long gone and loved ones who have since moved on.”
As an adult, I couldn’t help but notice that even on days that feel dull and dreary, observing a piece of jewelry would ignite a small spark of joy within my soul.
If passion does not feel this way, what does?
And if bringing a bit of shine through a helpful deed to the lives of others isn’t a worthwhile purpose, what is?
Deciding to combine passion with purpose, Rigalcy was born: an 18k gold jewelry brand consisting of elegant and timeless pieces that will also use a percentage of profits to help philanthropic organization and/or individuals in need.
In doing so, I hope Rigalcy brings a shine to people’s lives in more ways than one, thereby creating a legacy true to its slogan.
